The site will list 100 million items across more than 30 categories, including Books, Music, Games, Fashion, Consumer Electronics, Home & Kitchen, Sports or Health & Beauty. It will also offer its Prime service for €2.99 per month, giving access to fast and free delivery on millions of products as well as access to a large selection of movies and TV shows on Prime Video.

According to online retail magazine Twinkle, Amazon is already in sixth place in the Dutch market, with sales of €350 million in 2018. However historically shoppers in the Netherlands have accessed Amazon’s expansive catalogue through its German site, which has offered 24-hour delivery from Germany to the Netherlands on 3 million items.
