29 October, 2020

It’s expected that this year’s festive season will see consumers scale the “Mount Everest of Christmas Peaks”. With Covid-19 accelerating the shift to online, Black Friday is on target to be the UK’s biggest e-commerce retail peak to date, up 14% on last year.

As restrictions on activities and socialising continue across the country — and with the potential of a second nationwide lockdown looming, will consumers be seeking solace in gifts, food and decorations to bring this years’ festive cheer? Together with Dynata, we polled 1022 British shoppers to discover how they anticipate their festive spending to change this year, when they plan to start spending, where they will be hunting for gift ideas and whether they really are worried about delivery delays.
