Amazon’s Prime Day event shattered records again this year. According to Amazon, Prime Day 2019 was the biggest shopping event in Amazon’s history, surpassing Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined. Of course, this was expected — especially considering that Prime Day was extended by 12 hours this year. But one interesting stat to note is the fact that the average hourly amount spent continues to rise, according to eMarketer.
