Happy #greenmonday! Did you know that for the past decade, today has regularly been the biggest shopping day on eBay?
That’s right. Cyber Five is behind us, but with Christmas only 12 days away, retailers still have tons of chances to capture last-minute shoppers. According to NRF, only nine percent of consumers have finished all of their holiday shopping (down from 11% last year) and a mere 23 percent report having even made a dent in their holiday shopping lists (up from 19% last year).
So what are you waiting for? Get in on the last chance holiday selling action to finish the year strong! To make the holiday season a little easier on sellers, eBay is pulling out all the stops by offering deep discounts on in-demand products so that even last-minute shoppers can snag themselves the hot ticket items they’re looking for.
And let’s not forget the buzzword of 2016: Mobile. The ever-growing population of mobile consumers will be happy to see that eBay has made a series of upgrades to their mobile app, including the search and browse functionalities just in time for the holidays.
Some stats from Green Monday 2015:
- The peak shopping hour for both desktop and mobile was 7pm PST
- top-selling categories were Fashion, Toys, Shoes, Watches and Jewelry
- Consumers spent $1.41 billion on Green Monday 2015
Not sure what products you need to focus your efforts on? Ebay’s got you covered there, too. Here are some of the top-selling products on eBay this week — make sure to list your products with an expedited shipping option (bonus points if you can keep Hatchimals in stock)!
