Order Consolidator for EBay
We live in a world of instant gratification. Consumers don’t have to leave their homes anymore to order food, rent a movie or purchase household necessities.
And in the world of e-commerce, more and more retailers are encouraged to offer free — or discounted — shipping for their products in exchange for greater visibility on crowded marketplaces.
But this new environment often means that a buyer makes multiple purchases from one seller over the course of a single day and checks out after each transaction. While it’s great to get multiple orders as a retailer, shipping all these items out separately to the same buyer places additional costs on you.
With the ChannelAdvisor Order Consolidator, you can set a window of time when orders on eBay from the same buyer and address will be automatically detected and combined. This prevents you from spending time packaging separate orders. It also helps your customers save on shipping costs, since only one package will have to go out.
The money the Order Consolidator saves you is automatically tracked and tallied within a dashboard widget that calculates your shipping savings based on estimated shipping costs.
Last year, we released the eBay Categorizer as a feature within our support for eBay QuickStart. The eBay Categorizer helps you categorize your inventory when you don’t have an eBay category number already included in your data.
It proved to be such a powerful and convenient way for retailers to list products on eBay that in this year’s Spring Release we’ve expanded the Categorizer functionality for all eBay interfaces.
This means that for products that are net new to eBay — and don’t have a defined eBay category number — the eBay Categorizer will ask eBay to suggest an eBay category value. That value is then stored in the product details when the seller is using any eBay interface. This value can be changed at a later date if needed.
The eBay Categorizer is another helpful step toward automating the processes that are keeping you from focusing on the bigger picture.
We want you to find what you’re searching for — products, orders and more — with fewer clicks and no guessing. Which is why we’ve beefed up our platform’s search functionality.
Before, if you wanted to search your inventory, you had to first find the “All Products” view. If you wanted to search your order history, you had to go to the “All Sales” view. But not anymore: ChannelAdvisor’s search works across all categories and search requests.
With the new functionality, you’ll save time while keeping inventory, product data, orders and customers straight so you can find the information you need faster.
