For all the attention paid to the mIllennial generation when it comes to advertising and purchase power, there isn’t enough written about the baby-boom generation and its adoption of digital trends. According to eMarketer, nearly 60% of boomers purchase products online, much fewer than younger generations. That’s not a surprise. But what’s more interesting — and what should be interesting to advertisers — is how these boomers shop. In the same eMarketer study, nearly 80% of these boomers purchased products via desktop and only 33% via mobile devices — much different than the national average.
