Though the next full US Facebook Commerce Index will be a quarterly report published in July, we want to give you a sneak peek of what happened on Facebook during the month of May. While the Top 25 Chart shifted slightly, Target continues to amaze us by topping the Top Growers chart, again. A new name on the list, sport retailer ActionVillage.com made its first appearance on the Top Percentage Growers chart—in first place.

Target
Target remained at the top of the Top Growers chart last month—and rightfully so. Beating April’s fan acquisition, Target attracted 1.5 million new fans during May. Looks like everyone, or at least 68,677 fans, love a birthday celebration…
ActionVillage.com
Jumping its way to number one on the Top Percentage Growers chart, ActionVillage.com had an impressive showing in May—increasing its fan count by 409%! Offering special deals and prices to social fans again proved to be a very successful tactic for attracting new followers.
While these two retailers made notable strides in May, we’re keeping an eye on all the others as well. Don’t miss our next post in July, first publishing the June charts and then the complete FBCI quarterly report that will reveal the most successful fan engagement campaigns over a three month period.
