We’re back with another episode of Channel Advice, a video series where industry experts take on your most pressing e-commerce questions (in less time than it takes to write an email!)
Today’s episode was filmed live in Nashville at Catalyst 2017, where we sat down with Sara Waters, agency development manager at Google in between her sessions throughout the week to talk mobile strategy. Specifically, to answer the question,
“How should I optimize my mobile strategy on Google?”
Sara touches on the importance of creating a responsive mobile site and goes on to share best practices and the tools Google offers to test mobile responsiveness such as their WebEx tools and their Mobile Site Speed Check tool. Both are great to test speed and design of your mobile sites and, ultimately, help you get a better understanding of your customers.
Sara also ties in the importance of including video content (surprise!) into your mobile strategy. Did you know that by 2018, 90% of the world’s internet traffic will be video? The modern consumer expects to be able to have a conversation with a brand, and video gives marketers the ability to leverage sight, sound and motion to do so.
