March 7, 2012 Social, Mobile and Local Commerce are Key Focuses of 2012 ChannelAdvisor Catalyst Conference
Research Triangle Park, NC – March 7, 2012 – ChannelAdvisor, a global e-commerce software provider that helps retailers be seen and sell more across online channels, today announced that emerging channels such as social, mobile and local will be major focuses of the 2012 ChannelAdvisor Catalyst Conference. The theme of this year’s conference is NewCommerce, meaning the “anytime, anywhere” level of accessibility for shoppers that makes it increasingly complicated for retailers and manufacturers to reach consumers. NewCommerce includes social, local and mobile commerce; cross-border trade; tablet computing and “couch commerce;” niche marketplaces and more, all of which will be explored within the Catalyst agenda.
“The e-commerce industry continues to evolve, becoming more and more fragmented, as new forms of online commerce develop and expand,” said ChannelAdvisor CEO Scot Wingo. “Emerging channels such as social, mobile and local are important for retailers to be seen and remain competitive online. This year’s Catalyst conference will examine the potential and the pitfalls of these new sales avenues and the strategies retailers should employ to gain the greatest ROI.”
Catalyst will have an entire track dedicated to the exploration of emerging channels, featuring industry gurus such as Social Media Scientist Dan Zarrella and Inbound Marketing Strategist Rebecca Corliss from HubSpot, a marketing software company; social media expert and author Gary Vaynerchuk; One Kings Lane CEO Doug Mack and Citi Managing Director of Internet Research Mark Mahaney.
Session topics include:
- Science of Social Media: Designing and Engineering Contagious Ideas
- Driving E-Commerce with Inbound Marketing: Secrets, Strategies and Case Studies
- The Thank You Economy
