Multi-Brand Catalogue Retailer Turns Comparison Shopping Tangle into Success

London, UK – 03 August 2011 – ChannelAdvisor, a global e-commerce platform provider that enables retailers to sell more across online channels, today announced that JD Williams, the UK’s leading direct home shopping catalogue company, has experienced notable revenue growth since signing on with ChannelAdvisor’s Comparison Shopping solution. JD Williams turned to ChannelAdvisor in 2009 hoping to acquire new customers and increase revenue through the channel.

ChannelAdvisor’s expert software, which simplifies the process of managing comparison shopping by optimising a single data feed for all shopping engines, untangled a feed mix for the large inventory of catalogue brands sold by JD Williams. The company uses the Business Rules feature of the Comparison Shopping solution to make sweeping changes across feeds, further simplifying inventory upkeep. JD Williams saw a massive 500 percent increase in year-over-year revenue in 2011 and continues to report growth on the channel.

Recently the company have launched on Nextag and is also looking at other CSEs which can help it drive forward new customer recruitment. The added coverage that ChannelAdvisor provides has increased overall exposure, ensuring both the retention of the company’s existing client base as well as new customer acquisition.
