December 13, 2011 Green Monday Online Sales Grow 19 Percent, Steady Online Spending Pushes Overall Holiday Sales Growth to 22 Percent

Research Triangle Park, NC – December 13, 2011 – ChannelAdvisor, a global e-commerce software provider that helps retailers sell more across online channels, today announced that its customers experienced 19 percent growth in online same-store sales on Green Monday, traditionally the last day to purchase gifts online in order for items to arrive with standard shipping before Christmas.

“Overall, this holiday shopping season has been extremely strong and is exceeding the high end of our original growth estimate of 15-17 percent,” said ChannelAdvisor CEO Scot Wingo. “Green Monday same-store sales are in line with this trend, exceeding last year’s sales by close to 20 percent. Cyber Monday still remains our biggest sales day, but steady growth in the 20-percent range throughout November and December have made this a much less volatile holiday season.”
