August 10, 2016 ChannelAdvisor to help brands and retailers prepare for the 2016 holiday season in August 16 webinar

During the webinar, ChannelAdvisor Executive Chairman Scot Wingo will discuss ways that brands and retailers can capitalize on various e-commerce trends to help maximize sales this holiday season.

ChannelAdvisor publishes same store sales (SSS) reports throughout the holiday season starting the first week of November through the end of December. These reports highlight transactional data in gross merchandise value that flows through the ChannelAdvisor platform and measures the relative performance of online channels such as Amazon, eBay, Google Shopping and more. In 2015, ChannelAdvisor customers’ same store sales increased 20.9 percent during the Cyber Five period (Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday).

“We’ve seen online shopping start earlier in the holiday season the last few years, and consumers have become much more active on mobile devices. While Cyber Monday was the biggest online shopping day in 2015 according to our same store sales data, consumers were much more active on Thanksgiving than past years,” said Wingo. “We’re excited to share consumer behavior trends that are causing brands and retailers to pivot their e-commerce strategies, particularly during the holidays, in our upcoming webinar.”
