New integration enables Chinese retailers to reach global consumers

Research Triangle Park, NC – February 13, 2015 – ChannelAdvisor Corporation (NYSE:ECOM), a leading provider of cloud-based e-commerce solutions that enable retailers and manufacturers to increase global sales, today announced support for Alibaba Group’s AliExpress, an online marketplace where global consumers can purchase directly from China. AliExpress is a unique platform that enables consumers from around the world to buy directly from wholesalers and manufacturers in China. Launched in 2010, AliExpress offers consumers competitive prices on a wide variety of products, such as apparel and accessories, electronics, health and beauty, watches and jewelry and more.

“AliExpress is Alibaba Group’s business-to-consumer marketplace that is focused on cross-border trade out of China,” said ChannelAdvisor CEO Scot Wingo. “We are excited to expand our relationship with Alibaba Group through support for AliExpress and to help our Chinese customers gain access to global consumers in hundreds of countries.”

“Teaming up with ChannelAdvisor is in line with our mission to make it easy for retailers to do business anywhere,” said Joe Yan, Director, Global Operations & Expansion Strategy, AliExpress.com. “As a leading global e-commerce platform, ChannelAdvisor helps AliExpress sellers to connect with consumers around the world, and this relationship has the potential to broaden our reach and expand opportunities for retailers.”

Support for AliExpress follows ChannelAdvisor’s support for Alibaba Group’s Tmall Global solution, which was announced in 2014. “We’re immersed in the Chinese e-commerce market and excited to be able to add AliExpress to our list of supported marketplaces,” said ChannelAdvisor Vice President and Managing Director of Greater China James Huang. “Our Chinese retailers can now leverage AliExpress to help increase demand for their products.”

Chinese retailer Penson & Co. uses ChannelAdvisor Marketplaces to sell its automotive parts and accessories on Amazon, eBay and AliExpress.

“ChannelAdvisor is an expert in multichannel inventory sharing,” said Penson & Co. Manager Jane Kang. “Using the ChannelAdvisor platform, we’re able to migrate product data such as titles, descriptions and more from Amazon and eBay to AliExpress and take over existing online listings. Additionally, we can list and update commodities in bulk quickly on the AliExpress platform, which saves us about 60 percent of the time needed to do this manually. The Bundles feature is especially helpful with inventory quantity management, which prevents overselling.”

Yiwu Yarui E-commerce Ltd. is another ChannelAdvisor customer selling on AliExpress.

“ChannelAdvisor helps us reduce labor costs and time by quickly listing our products online and better managing our inventory across several accounts on multiple marketplaces,” said Yiwu Yarui E-commerce Ltd. Operation Manager Ke Jinzhen. “By moving our products to AliExpress through ChannelAdvisor, we are able to better manage our inventory, enable rapid updating and increase our online performance.”

ChannelAdvisor offers retailers and manufacturers leading cloud-based solutions to efficiently automate and manage the online selling process through online marketplaces and digital marketing channels. Through a single inventory feed, ChannelAdvisor customers can manage their overall online selling process, from listing to order management, from one platform. By eliminating the tedious tasks of optimizing online listings and analyzing performance, ChannelAdvisor allows sellers to increase sales and successfully scale their e-commerce businesses.
