September 9, 2011 ChannelAdvisor and Windsor Circle Partner to Extend Turnkey Email Marketing Integration to Online Retailers
New offering creates additional revenue opportunity for ChannelAdvisor customers
Research Triangle Park, NC – September 9, 2011 – ChannelAdvisor, a global e-commerce platform provider that enables retailers to sell more across online channels, today announced a partnership with Windsor Circle to provide purchase history email integration for ChannelAdvisor Webstores customers. ChannelAdvisor Webstores customers can now add targeted email marketing capabilities instantly, allowing them to recover abandoned shopping carts, send product recommendations and segment customers based on buying behavior and purchase history.
Windsor Circle, a start-up launched this year, provides integrations from ChannelAdvisor Webstores to the most popular email marketing platforms like ExactTarget, WhatCounts, Bronto, Constant Contact, MailChimp, iContact and Vertical Response. These integrations enable retailers to leverage customer purchase history and personalize promotions.
“E-commerce marketers have a difficult time accessing their own sales data because you have to do custom integrations, which are costly, slow and unsupported. These integrations took months to build, but with Windsor Circle‘s solution, a retailer is ready to go in minutes,” said Matt Williamson, CEO of Windsor Circle. “We’re providing ChannelAdvisor Webstores customers with integration to virtually any email marketing provider—now they can personalize emails, build in product recommendations and much more.”
Windsor Circle conducted a survey at ChannelAdvisor’s Catalyst conference this spring and found that 53 percent of those who filled out the survey were not using purchase history to segment their email marketing subscribers, yet 93 percent of them wanted that capability.
“Oftentimes retailers mass-email the same offer to everyone in their database due to a lack of time or ability to segment,” said ChannelAdvisor Webstores Product Manager Marc Sebes. “Thus, they offer a $20 sweater to a customer that usually spends $150 or vice versa. To reduce costs, increase conversion rates and keep customers reading these email promotions in the future, more targeted offers are critical. Windsor Circle now makes this easy for our Webstores customers, which will surely improve their bottom line.”
ChannelAdvisor will be exhibiting at Booth #507 for the Shop.org Annual Summit September 12-14, 2011. Retailers interested in learning more can visit the booth to speak with representatives from both ChannelAdvisor and Windsor Circle.
