July 19, 2011 ChannelAdvisor and oo.com.au Grow Existing Relationship to Boost E-Commerce Sales
Australia and New Zealand’s Leading E-Commerce Department Store Signs on Additional ChannelAdvisor Solution
Melbourne, AU – July 19, 2011 – ChannelAdvisor, a global e-commerce platform provider that enables retailers to sell more across online channels, today announced that it is expanding its relationship with oo.com.au, Australia and New Zealand’s biggest online department store. After several successful years of using ChannelAdvisor’s Marketplaces solution, oo.com.au has signed on for Comparison Shopping, giving the retailer the freedom to market every product – easily and effectively – across the Australian comparison shopping landscape.
“ChannelAdvisor has been a trusted e-commerce partner for oo.com.au since 2007, and we have been very happy with the Marketplace solution,” said James Mooring, sales and marketing director, oo.com.au. “We are excited by the potential of the Comparison Shopping solution to direct traffic to our online store and increase sales, and we have already seen a promising start. Using both the Marketplaces and Comparison Shopping solutions gives us greater control to manage our inventory from one dashboard and make performance-based decisions to improve our online sales.”
With ChannelAdvisor’s Comparison Shopping solution, retailers can isolate the most compelling campaign strategies, achieve unsurpassed relevancy and generate maximum returns. ChannelAdvisor currently supports more than 115 shopping sites globally and seven in Australia: Getprice, Lasoo, MyShopping.com.au, Nextag, Shopping.com, Shopbot and Google Product Search.
Prior to signing on with ChannelAdvisor, oo.com.au was sending out multiple feeds with different formats, which was too time consuming. With Comparison Shopping, oo.com.au is able to send just one product inventory feed to ChannelAdvisor and gain the ability to optimise product listings based on the unique characteristics of each shopping engine. Additionally, oo.com.au was finding it difficult to correctly map certain categories, which has been easily resolved through ChannelAdvisor’s Category Mapping feature.
“We pride ourselves on the value that ChannelAdvisor provides retailers through our platform solution, and we are very happy that a market-leading retailer and long-standing customer like oo.com.au continues to trust us with its e-commerce strategy and execution,” said Mark Gray, managing director, APAC, ChannelAdvisor.
By allowing online retailers to focus on growing their business, the Marketplace solution automates the tedious tasks of e-commerce, from product distribution to post-sale. Specifically, oo.com.au has successfully utilised the open API to manage its eBay business seamlessly, while linking in its own software to run the company’s brick-and-mortar presence. Furthermore, ChannelAdvisor has allowed oo.com.au to manage thousands of eBay listings and sales each month without having to compensate on quality.
ChannelAdvisor combines on-demand software, integrated technology and best practices to help retailers manage the complexities of selling across multiple e-commerce channels – more efficiently and more profitably – all through a single interface. ChannelAdvisor powers leading retailers globally including Dell, oo.com.au, Under Armour, Corporate Express, Crocs, eMitch Ltd, 3M and Speedo.
