March 31, 2016 ChannelAdvisor and Google to educate brands and retailers about Google Shopping’s Global Trade Item Number requirements in April 6 webinar
Research Triangle Park, NC – March 31, 2016 – ChannelAdvisor Corporation (NYSE:ECOM), a leading provider of cloud-based e-commerce solutions that enable retailers and branded manufacturers to increase global sales, today announced that it is co-hosting a webinar with Google to help brands and retailers understand Google’s Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) requirements that go into effect May 16. The webinar, titled “Checklist for Google Shopping’s New GTIN Requirements,” is taking place Wednesday, April 6 at 1 p.m. EDT.
The update will require that advertisers include GTINs for any new, in-stock product that has a manufacturer-assigned GTIN. According to Google, advertisers with GTINs see a 20 percent increase in conversion rates. ChannelAdvisor Team Lead for Managed Services Jonathan Hungate will join Google Product Manager Rob Rekrutiak to discuss these changes and what they mean for advertisers.
