CHANNELADVISOR INTEGRATES CAUSE MARKETING BY OFFERING SUPPORT FOR EBAY GIVING WORKS
First Channel Management Solution to Integrate Strategic Philanthropy Program

Research Triangle Park, NC – July 12, 2006 – ChannelAdvisor, the leading provider of channel management solutions (CMS), announced today support for eBay Giving Works, the dedicated program for charity listings on eBay. By supporting eBay Giving Works, ChannelAdvisor Merchant sellers will be able to forge marketing relationships with leading nonprofit brands.

eBay Giving Works, powered by MissionFish, offers eBay sellers a way to build their business while supporting causes important to them and their customers. By integrating with eBay Giving Works, ChannelAdvisor is giving large eBay sellers the opportunity to build a positive brand, customer loyalty and new traffic through cause marketing campaigns, while helping charities gain much needed revenue and visibility.

“Compassionate commerce is a special and important part of the eBay marketplace. We’re thrilled that ChannelAdvisor is now offering support for eBay Giving Works, and we hope their customers will use this offering to gain competitive business advantages while helping make a difference for some great causes,” says Kristin Cunningham, who manages the eBay Giving Works program.

“ChannelAdvisor is always the first to support new features and programs in the online channel space and I think sellers will hit a home run with the eBay Giving Works program. Small or medium size businesses normally can’t afford the $100,000+ donation minimums some of the best nonprofit brands may require,” says David Yaskulka, CEO of Blueberry Boutique, a ChannelAdvisor customer. “But eBay Giving Works, powered by MissionFish, includes more than 8,000 nonprofits for sellers to choose from with only a $10 minimum donation required for successful sales. So now we can compete with the national chains -- and improve relationships with suppliers and vendors.”

Sellers can create eBay Giving Works listings within the ChannelAdvisor Merchant and ChannelAdvisor Pro platforms. With support for eBay Giving Works, ChannelAdvisor is able to offer:

  • The ability to list single items or thousands of items with ease
  • More than 8,000 organizations in nonprofit directory to choose from
  • The ability to contribute between 10 and 100% of the sale price to the nonprofit of your choice
  • A special ribbon icon in search results and additional eBay and nonprofit driven traffic

“We are very happy to offer our sellers another competitive advantage in a multi-channel retail environment and it’s satisfying to know that many worthy causes will benefit,” says Scot Wingo, CEO of ChannelAdvisor.

To learn more about eBay Giving Works and how to get started, ChannelAdvisor is offering an interactive webinar for customers and prospects which will be held on Wednesday, August 9 at 2:00pm ET.
