ChannelAdvisor Releases New Version of ChannelAdvisor Merchant Software
Latest Functionality Automates High Volume Sellers' Ability to Accelerate Sales for Online Marketplaces
Research Triangle Park, NC - May 05, 2003 - ChannelAdvisor Corporation, the leading provider of enterprise solutions for online marketplaces, today announced the next generation of its self-service marketplace management software, ChannelAdvisor Merchant, designed to give mid-size businesses and top-tier "powersellers" an automated way to manage and grow sales on eBay (NASDAQ: EBAY) and other online marketplaces. The new release adds significant functionality to automate these processes for companies using accounting package QuickBooks and fulfillment carriers such as UPS Worldship and FedEx. In addition, advanced scheduling enhancements and the automation of eBay's Second Chance offer feature is included in this release.
ChannelAdvisor Merchant is true enterprise-class software, offering streamlined auction and marketplace management to help companies increase sales and productivity while reducing cost. This solution enables high-volume sellers to leverage the power of the software platform used by the leading Enterprise sellers on eBay like IBM, Motorola and Sears. Key enhancements in this release include:
Direct support for Accounting and Fulfillment Systems - Reduces time, effort and duplicate data-entry for popular business applications such as QuickBooks, FedEx and UPS Worldship. Each day accounting reports and shipping reports are generated for direct import for sales reconciliation, invoicing, label generation and fulfillment.
Advanced Scheduling - The new yield/velocity maintain schedule is based on the recovery rate for a particular item. Recovery rates are based on "% of Starting Price Reached", "% of Buy-It-Now Price Reached", "% of Seller Cost Recovered", or "% of Retail Cost Recovered". These recovery rate percentages are calculated using the price fields found on the associated inventory item records and the closing data from the previous ten days worth of listings for an item.
Personal Offer - Allows companies to extend a "Second Chance Offer" to eBay buyers that did not win the auction, but were the highest underbidder on the item. This new feature allows the user to automate the Personal Offer process.
These new features build on ChannelAdvisor Merchant's core platform tailored for companies selling in excess of $20,000 per month via online marketplaces, including support for multiple users with different roles and permissions, inventory control, integrated payment processing and robust performance reporting. "ChannelAdvisor Merchant is the only auction management solution that gives companies the ability to double their sales while reducing their cost."
"ChannelAdvisor Merchant is a much more professional package than anything we've seen so far. The user interface is simpler, easier. And it simplifies a lot of the processes that we need to run our business," say David Schultz, Chief Operating Officer, IEPVisions Enterprises.
