ChannelAdvisor Expands Relationship With IBM
Channel Proves Effective in Driving New Customers to IBM

Research Triangle Park, NC- May 7, 2002 - ChannelAdvisor Corporation, the leading provider of enterprise marketplace management solutions, today announced that they have renewed a marketplace agreement with IBM through 2003. In addition, ChannelAdvisor is expanding its technology and services into other divisions of IBM.

For the past year, the world's top provider of computer hardware, IBM has used ChannelAdvisor's comprehensive marketplace management services to sell end-of-life excess inventory from the Personal Consumer Division (PCD) to the 41 million buyers on the eBay marketplace. This move has allowed IBM to reach many new customers. In fact, 80 percent of customers buying from IBM via these auction marketplaces are new customers for IBM.

ChannelAdvisor manages all the details of devising strategies and tactics, preparing and posting inventory, handling buyer inquiries, creating promotions and providing analysis for IBM's complete US business. In a few months, IBM became one of the top 10 sellers on eBay with ChannelAdvisor's expertise and leading edge technology.

"ChannelAdvisor has helped IBM gain a strong competitive advantage as we continue to extend and grow our online business," says Paul Canham, Program Executive, Worldwide IBM Auction Sales. "ChannelAdvisor's technology platform allows us to build a scalable solution that meets our needs at every stage of our marketplace strategy."

ChannelAdvisor has expanded IBM's auction business to multiple consumer marketplaces including Yahoo!, CNet and uBid due to the growing success of IBM sales on eBay. ChannelAdvisor's technology platform is integrated with each of these consumer marketplaces so IBM was able to successfully migrate to the new marketplaces in record time. Recently, ChannelAdvisor has expanded its technology and services into other IBM divisions.

"We are pleased that we were able to extend our agreement with IBM," says Scot Wingo, CEO and President of ChannelAdvisor Corporation. " We will continue to work with IBM to manage their auction sales and deliver a complete marketplace management solution for IBM."
