What Is Catalyst Americas 2015?

Catalyst Americas 2015, ChannelAdvisor’s annual industry conference, will be the e-commerce event of the year.  Catalyst brings together some of the most innovative minds in the industry – executives, analysts, leading solution providers and other thought leaders to discuss current and upcoming trends, exchange best practices and learn about new products and industry innovations.

Catalyst Americas 2015 will take place March 30 through April 1, 2015 at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Program at a glance:

  • The opening keynote and reception will take place Monday, March 30, 2015 beginning at 5 p.m. PDT.
  • The main conference will take place Tuesday, March 31 from 7 a.m. to
    5:15 p.m. PDT, and on Wednesday, April 1 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. PDT.
  • The Catalyst Party will take place Tuesday, March 31 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. PDT.

  • Vineet Buch
    Vineet Buch, Director of Product Management for Shopping Search, Google

    Vineet Buch is the Director of Product Management for Shopping Search at Google. He has been involved in online commerce for nearly 8 years, and joined Google in August 2010 through the acquisition of Like.com, a shopping discovery site for fashion and accessories, where he was Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer.

    Vineet previously was a Partner at BlueRun Ventures, where his investments included Slide, also acquired by Google in August 2010.  He also has experience in Enterprise Software from his years as a Director in the Database Group at Oracle and as an early employee at Corio, an early enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) company that was acquired by IBM in 2005 after an IPO in 2001.

    Vineet has a Masters in Computer Science from Cornell University and a Bachelors in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur.

  • Sebastian Gunningham
    Sebastian Gunningham, Senior Vice President, Seller Services, Amazon Services

    Sebastian Gunningham is Senior Vice President of Amazon Seller Services, an integrated set of services designed to help any and all merchants sell their products online by offering access to Amazon’s technology infrastructure and to Amazon’s more than 200 million active customer accounts.

    Prior to joining Amazon in March of 2007, Gunningham held positions at Apple Computer Inc., Peace Software and Oracle Corporation.

  • Christopher Payne
    Christopher Payne, Senior Vice President, eBay Marketplaces, North America, eBay

    Christopher Payne leads Marketplaces for North America, overseeing all aspects of eBay’s largest marketplace including the company’s efforts in fashion, motors, electronics and other verticals. He also heads up advertising, business development, local commerce and marketing. Prior to eBay, Christopher was Founder and CEO of Positronic, a start-up focused on machine learning and data mining and was a Vice President at Microsoft from 2001 to 2007, where he led the team that developed MSN Search, now known as Bing, Microsoft’s search engine. Christopher received his Bachelor of Arts degree in U.S. History from Dartmouth College.

  • David Spitz
    David Spitz, President and COO, ChannelAdvisor

    David Spitz, ChannelAdvisor’s president and COO, is responsible for global sales and marketing, services and general operations. Before joining ChannelAdvisor, Spitz founded and successfully exited multiple venture-backed software companies. He was most recently an entrepreneur-in-residence at the Aurora Funds, a venture capital firm with more than $200 million under management. Prior to Aurora, David was president of Avesair, a mobile marketing company that was acquired by Inphonic. Previous to Avesair, David was co-founder and CTO of Netsation, a network management software company acquired by Nortel Networks.

    David received a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego. David recently was awarded the Triangle Business Journal’s 2010 CFO of the Year Award, and in 2008, David received the Triangle Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40 award. David has also been awarded three U.S. patents, is past chairman of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics Foundation Board and is a member of the executive committee and board of directors for the North Carolina Council for Entrepreneurial Development.

  • Scot Wingo
    Scot Wingo, CEO, ChannelAdvisor

    CEO of ChannelAdvisor, Scot Wingo leads the company in its mission to provide retailers and manufacturers with the software and services needed to successfully sell their products via online sales channels. In tandem with his work at ChannelAdvisor, Scot is an industry thought leader, contributing regularly to several ChannelAdvisor blogs and speaking often at industry events.

    Scot received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Computer Engineering degree from North Carolina State University. Scot has received numerous awards including Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year and Triangle Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40.

    Jennifer Artabane, Director of Product Management, Platform, ChannelAdvisor

    As Director of Product Management, Platform at ChannelAdvisor, Jennifer Artabane is responsible for the core functionality of the ChannelAdvisor platform. Jennifer manages her teams of inventory, order, business intelligence, API and user interface experts with the collective goal of improving every interaction a customer has with the ChannelAdvisor platform, and making the software more robust, user-friendly and scalable for end users. Prior to her five years with ChannelAdvisor, Jennifer worked in financial management and consulting for the technology industry. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the College of William and Mary, and her master’s in Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

    Stacey Buescher, Director of Account Management, ChannelAdvisor

    Members of Stacey’s Account Management team are first and foremost advocates for ChannelAdvisor clients, both internally and externally. They serve as the bridge between clients and all ChannelAdvisor teams and partners. The account management team works to arm our customers with the tools and knowledge that will take their businesses to the next level.

    Stacey has held several other roles at ChannelAdvisor, including launch specialist and account manager, before leading the Account Management team. Prior to joining ChannelAdvisor in 2007, she worked at IBM as a business analyst. Stacey is one of the many NC State Wolfpackers at ChannelAdvisor.

    Vicki Cantrell, Senior Vice President, Communities and Executive Director, Shop.org

    Vicki Cantrell was named NRF’s Senior Vice President, Communities and Executive Director, Shop.org in October of 2011. In this role, she is responsible for providing strategic direction and management of Shop.org, NRF’s digital retail division. Additionally, she provides oversight for other NRF communities, including NRF’s CIO Council, the Association of Retail Technology Standards (ARTS), the CMO Council (formerly RAMA) and Loss Prevention. As a byproduct of her broad role as Sr. VP, she also runs content for all NRF events.

    Prior to joining NRF, Cantrell served as the COO and CIO of Tory Burch during a period of extreme growth and expansion domestically and internationally. As COO, her work centered on the development of process and infrastructure for the transition from initial success to sustained growth. She was also a brand advocate and instrumental in developing ongoing employee and team strategies. During her storied retail career, Cantrell has also served as CIO of Giorgio Armani Corporation and Gucci Group, where she worked operationally to assimilate the acquisition of 10 brands.     Gina DeFrank is the Product Manager of Marketplaces for ChannelAdvisor, responsible for research and product direction for third-party marketplaces such as Amazon and Rakuten.  She works closely with the marketplaces, retailers, and ChannelAdvisor teams to keep up to date with channel developments and to optimize existing features for ChannelAdvisor customers.

    Patrick Deloy is the founder and executive director of Bluecom Group.     Brian is Head of Platforms for Google Shopping, leading merchant partnerships on products like Google Shopping Express and business partnerships with technology platforms. Prior to Google, Brian was CEO at Monsoon Commerce, the leading order and inventory management software company, and CEO at Alibris, the leading online marketplace for media sellers.     David Epstein, Ecommerce Director – Watch Warehouse

    Having broken into the world of Ecommerce by selling refurbished Dyson vacuum cleaners in his early University career, David built on that experience when given the task of setting up HP’s EMEA disposal strategy for the sale of refurbished merchandise through eBay, whilst on placement there.

    Fast forward 10 years and David is now Ecommerce Director at Watch Warehouse UK and has been responsible for building their multi-channel strategy, particularly, their marketplace business which covers all the key marketplaces both domestically and across 10 other countries.

Catalyst registration provides access to all Catalyst main conference sessions and Catalyst networking events, and includes food and drink for all Catalyst networking breakfasts, breaks and lunches between March 30 and April 1, 2015, as well as the Catalyst opening reception on March 30 and the Catalyst Party on March 31. Any company that registers three or more people from their company on the same transaction will automatically receive a 25% discount on each of those registrations in the transaction.

There is no deadline. The meeting space in the conference center has limited capacity, however, and the event sells out every year so we encourage you to sign up promptly to reserve your spot and take advantage of “early bird” discounts on registration and lodging:

  • Retailers who sign up by December 31, 2014 receive $100 off the regular registration fee

The Aria Resort is less than five miles from McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.

13) Should I Rent a Car?

You probably won't need a rental car.  For-hire transportation at McCarran International Airport is readily available, and all conference events take place at the Aria Resort and Casino.

Varieties of shuttle and limousine services are available at McCarran, located on the north and west sides of baggage claim, outside door exits 8-14.  Taxicabs are available outside on the east side of baggage claim, outside door exits 1-5, and can bring you directly to the Aria.  Airport personnel are available on the taxi curb to assist passengers.

Registration Terms and Conditions

REGISTRATION

The registration fee (the “Fee”) covers attendance at all sessions of the 2015 ChannelAdvisor Catalyst Americas event to occur March 30 – April 1, 2015 (the “Event”) and to the breakfast and lunch meal functions, as well as the Opening Reception and Catalyst Party, which are all scheduled to take place during the Event.

ChannelAdvisor reserves the right to refuse admittance to any event it hosts.  Any registrations cancelled at the discretion of ChannelAdvisor will receive a full refund of Fees. 

CANCELLATION AND REGISTRATION CHANGES

Substitutions in your registration can be made until 5 days prior to the Event via email to Candace.velazquez@channeladvisor.com or by logging into the registration site with your email and password (set up when you complete your registration).

For cancellation requests received prior to November 30, 2014, ChannelAdvisor will refund 50% of the Fees paid; for cancellation requests received between December 1, 2014 and January 14, 2015, ChannelAdvisor will refund 25% of the Fees paid.  Cancellation requests received on or after January 15, 2015 are nonrefundable.

PAYMENT

All Fees for participation in the Event are to be paid in full prior to the Event.

In all cases when payment is not received before the Event, ChannelAdvisor reserves the right to refuse admission to the Event.

We accept payment via MasterCard, Visa and American Express for the Event.

Consolidated payment with other invoices from ChannelAdvisor is not possible at this time.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS

Overnight accommodation space is not included in the Fee.  Registrants are responsible for securing their own hotel accommodations.

TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING

Transportation and parking are not included in the Fee.  It is the responsibility of the attendee to make their way to the Event venue in adequate time.

ChannelAdvisor is not liable for any delays or non-attendance resulting from delayed or suspended transportation.

CONFERENCE CHANGES AND CHANNELADVISOR’S OBLIGATIONS

    Jo Malone, MBE

    Jo Malone is the founder of the high-end fragrance and cosmetics range that bears her name. She has also presented BBC’s High Street Dreams, helping entrepreneurial individuals develop their own products for the mass market. Leaving school at 14 to care for her sick mother, Jo started work on a beauty counter. She began mixing scents in her kitchen and giving them away as tokens of appreciation. This eventually gave rise to a complete range of luxury fragrances, bath oils, skin care and scented candles.

  • Suzanne Miglucci
    Suzanne Miglucci, Chief Marketing Officer, ChannelAdvisor

    Suzanne provides strategy and execution of ChannelAdvisor’s global marketing presence. Her responsibilities include company and product branding, public relations, marketing/communications, event management and demand management activities to drive ChannelAdvisor’s growth strategies. Prior to ChannelAdvisor Suzanne served as Senior Director of Global Procurement Solution Marketing at SAP where she contributed to the direction and market awareness of portfolio solutions.     Peter Mϋhlmann is founder and CEO of Trustpilot, a young fast-growing start-up looking to transform online consumer shopping experiences and raise standards in retail customer service and innovation. Founded in 2007, Trustpilot now provides over 70,000 ecommerce businesses with TrustScores based on more than six million reviews, adding 2,000 new merchants and over 300,000 new consumers to the Trustpilot community every month.     James Hardy is the EMEA Director for Alibaba.com, and leads both strategy development and implementation within the EMEA region.

    Before joining Alibaba.com in Europe, James was based in Sydney, Australia.  His responsibilities included operations, acquisitions and business development for a global digital communications company across China, India and the wider Asia Pacific region.  James also spent nine years in San Francisco as global General Counsel for two marketing services companies, with responsibilities for 40 offices worldwide.  He started his career in M & A, private equity and litigation at two City law firms.

    Murray is eBay’s Director of International Trade, focusing on boosting exports from the German and British markets in to Europe and beyond.     Recently, Murray was responsible for developing eBay’s suite of support services for business exporters including translation and listing tools for 1000s of customers.

7) What is the cost of attending Catalyst 2015?

The cost to attend Catalyst will depend on the date of registration as follows:

The registration rate for Catalyst Europe is £50 until 31 December 2014 and £100 from 1 January 2015 onwards.

Any company who registers 3 or more people from their company on the same transaction will automatically receive a 25% discount on all of those registrations processed during that transaction.

8) When is the deadline to register for Catalyst 2015?

There is no deadline. However, the meeting space has limited capacity and the event sells out every year. We encourage you to sign up promptly to reserve your spot and take advantage of “early-bird” discounts on registration.

11) How can I book my hotel room?

The event will be held at the Hilton London Metropole in London, but we understand that delegates have varying budgets for accommodation. Therefore, ChannelAdvisor will not make any direct accommodation bookings.

  • Heathrow Airport - Distance to the Hilton Hotel is 18 miles
  • Gatwick Airport - Distance to the Hilton Hotel is 35 miles

13) Should I rent a car?

A rental car is probably not necessary – but public or hire transportation is readily available at each airport and all conference events take place at the Hilton London Metropole.

Public Transport:

  • Edgware Rd Underground Tube Station – 3 minute walk
  • Paddington Underground Tube Station – 9 minute walk
  • Oxford Street Underground Tube Station - 10 minute walk

Car:

The hotel is located outside the Congestion Charge Zone.

Registration Terms and Conditions

REGISTRATION

Registration to Catalyst provides access to all conference sessions, workshops and networking events, and includes food and beverage for Catalyst networking breakfast, breaks and lunch on the 23 April 2015.

ChannelAdvisor reserves the right to refuse admittance to any event it hosts. Any registrations cancelled at the decision of ChannelAdvisor will receive a full refund of registration fees. 

CANCELLATION AND REGISTRATION CHANGES

Substitutions in your registration can be made until 5 days prior to the event date via email or by logging into the registration site with your email and password (set up when you completed your registration).

For cancellation requests received prior to 31 December 2014, 50% of the paid registration fees will be refunded to the registrant by ChannelAdvisor; 25% of the paid registration fees will be refunded for cancellation requests received between 1 January 2015 and 15 February 2015. Cancellation requests received on or after 16 February 2015 are non-refundable.

All cancellation requests should be sent by email to ester.dimella@channeladvisor.com.

PAYMENT

The registration fee for participation in the conference is to be paid before the event date.

In all cases when payment is not received before the event, ChannelAdvisor reserves the right to refuse admission to the event.

We accept payment via Visa, MasterCard and American Express for Catalyst EU.

Consolidated payment with other invoices from ChannelAdvisor is not possible at this time.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS

Overnight accommodation space is not included in the registration fee.

TRAVEL OR PARKING

Travel and/or parking is not included in the registration fee. It is the responsibility of the attendee to make their way to the conference venue in adequate time.

ChannelAdvisor is not liable for any delays or non-attendance resulting from delayed or suspended transportation.

CONFERENCE CHANGES AND CHANNELADVISOR’S OBLIGATIONS

For various reasons, ChannelAdvisor may find it necessary to change the venue, format, content or the timing of the conference. ChannelAdvisor shall not be obligated to refund fees due to changes to the venue, format or content.  If ChannelAdvisor finds it necessary to postpone the conference, we will reschedule as soon as is practicable and your registration will be transferred to attend the rescheduled conference. If ChannelAdvisor cancels the conference and does not reschedule, ChannelAdvisor shall issue a full refund for the registration fees paid by the individual for the conference. Beyond the refund of registration fees paid, ChannelAdvisor shall not be liable for any other costs incurred in connection with or due to the postponement or cancellation of the conference.

IN NO EVENT SHALL CHANNELADVISOR’S ENTIRE AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED FEES PAID.
