One of our goals at Catalyst 2008 was to provide online retailers with opportunities to network with and learn from other Catalyst attendees. The Carolina Hotel provided a beautiful setting for a Welcome Reception on the first night sponsored by Overstock.com. During the reception, a “Meet & Greet” with Comparison Shopping Engines, Search Engines and Marketplaces gave attendees a chance to speak with these representatives face-to-face.
The Pinehurst Clubhouse offered a view of the sunset at a dinner party on the second night. The dinner party, which was hosted by McAfee, was a big hit as attendees had a chance to enjoy dinner on the veranda overlooking the world-famous Pinehurst Course No. 2. Attendees were able to network with other retailers and reflect on that day’s sessions.
