General
Product Grade
Sears, Roebuck and Co. offers a complete line of factory-certified, pre-owned
products through its eBay channel. Factory certified, pre-owned products
are items that have been returned to Sears by one of our retailers for
a number of reasons. The items available on Sears, Roebuck and Co.'s eBay
auctions are unused items usually returned because the carton was in poor
condition, the color was incorrect or other such mishaps. The product
itself is usually in excellent condition. In a few cases, the product
might have minor aesthetic damage, but is still fully operational. A Sears
technician tests these products, guaranteeing they meet 100% of new product
performance specifications and UL requirements. Additionally, these products
are eligible for a Sears extended warranty.
The definitions of our two general condition grades are listed below.
Look for these symbols on individual product listings.

surface imperfections and has never been used.

|
These
items limited surface imperfections, such as a scratch or dent and
may have been in a customer's home or reconditioned by Sears product
repair. All reconditioned units are run through a stringent inspection process designed to
ensure that they meet or exceed the functional requirements for
new machines. Each product is thoroughly tested to make sure it
is functioning at peak performance. Refer to the surface imperfections chart and the imperfections locactions
illustration for details on this product grade. The original manual will be
provided as well.
